Lei Melendres
Lei Melendres is a Manila-based freelance illustrator and professional doodle artist celebrated for his highly detailed, imaginative compositions. His signature style, often referred to as Infinity Mix, is a vibrant explosion of endless elements: monsters, robots, patterns, creatures both real and impossible, and all sorts of delightfully strange surprises woven together into a single dynamic scene.
Beyond his individual practice, Lei plays a major role in shaping the local doodling movement. He currently serves as the Head of Doodle Art Enthusiasts (DAE), the largest doodle art community in the Philippines, which has grown to thousands of members under his leadership. He also founded Doodle Arts Magazine, where he continues to serve as Creative Director, giving a platform to emerging and established doodle artists.
Working across both traditional and digital media, Lei balances commercial projects with personal explorations of playful chaos and intricate storytelling. His illustrations, including his well-known work for Zifflin’s Doodle Fusion coloring book showcase his ability to turn randomness into rhythm and complexity into charm.
